What is a Same-Day Restoration?
Usually, placing a dental crown, inlay or onlay requires more than one trip to the dentist. However, with the use of CEREC technology, our dentists are able to complete the full procedure in one easy appointment.
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. This is a system that allows the fabrication of same-day ceramic dental restorations. Our Châteauguay dentists utilize the CEREC technology in order to place veneers, crowns, onlays and inlays in one visit.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are porcelain caps which are placed on top of teeth in order to restore their look and function. They are used to repair a cracked tooth, cover implants, attach bridges or bring a discoloured tooth back to its natural look.
Veneers
Veneers are thin pieces of durable custom-made, tooth-shaped porcelain that are bonded to the front of a natural tooth to improve the look of its colour, shape and the overall symmetry of your smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are both tooth-coloured porcelain fillings that are used to fix cavities when there is too much damage to use a standard dental filling. These are usually used on molars.
